What's the shelf life of Green Mountain Peanut Butter?

Green Mountain Peanut Butter will last up to 9 months from the date of production if unopened. Once opened, consume within 3-6 months for the best taste and texture.

How should I store GMPB?

Store in a cool dry place. Room temperature peanut butter is softer and easier to stir, while refrigerated peanut butter will be more firm. 

Please remember, GMPB is all-natural peanut butter with no added preservatives, so oil separation is natural. Just stir and enjoy!

Do I need to refrigerate GMPB?

Refrigeration is unnecessary but will increase shelf life.

Why do we use plastic jars?

We have considered switching our plastic jars to glass; however, glass jars are not necessarily better for the environment than plastic ones. One glass is almost 1 lb heavier, which increases shipping costs, materials to protect the jars, plus requires more gas and oil to transport. Our jars are 100% recyclable, PET, and free of BPA. If you practice recycling, the plastic jar is a greener option. Please recycle ♻️
